Where to Stay in Paris

Paris is home to some of the most luxurious and splendid hotels which are a travel experience. If you aren’t counting the Euros, check out the options and treat yourself to good living. There are a number of reasonably priced hotels as well to suit the pocket of a budget traveller.

The city of Paris is divided into a total of 20 districts or ''arrondissements'', out of which the famous ones to find accomodation are- district 5, 6 and 7 (the Latin Quarter and Saint Germain Des Pres) for budget and boutique hotels, district 10 and 11 (Bastille area) for resonably priced hotels, district 8, 9 and 16 ( Champs Elysees and Opera area ) for the budget, boutique and luxury hotels.

Champs Elysees and the Opera area are equipped with fine boutique and luxury hotels- Elysees Opera Hotel is situated in the Opera district and within a short stroll are the major attractions like Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Champs Elysees. Hotel Des Champs Elysees is a fine boutique hotel that offers rooms and suites at its best. The hotel is easily accessible to sights like Champs Elysées, the rue du Faubourg Saint Honoré, Place de la Concorde and Place de La Madeleine on foot. An underground bus or a metro will take you to Eiffel Tower, Musée du Louvre, Montmartre and Notre Dame de Paris in about 15 minutes. Auteuil Tour Eiffel hotel from where you can easily travel to the attractions and just a 10 minute walk will lead you to the area’s best shopping centers, museums, cafes and restaurants. It will just take you 15 minutes on foot from the Regence Hotel to get to the Place de L`Opera-madeleine, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées. Also the Charles de Gaulle Airport can be easily reached within 20 minutes by public transport. Hotel Warwick Champs Elysees is a fine luxury hotel, easily accessible to major sights of the city.

The 3 star category hotels include- Hotel des Nations St Germains offers a total of 38 rooms with all the modern amenities. You can easily reach the Charles de Gaulle Airport (30 minutes away) from the hotel using public transport. The hotel consists of a fine restaurant, several boutiques and pavement cafes- ideal for chilling out. You have a good reson to stay here because it is conveniently located close to most of the attractions of Paris.

The Residence Villa Daubenton is an apartment hotel is located in the Latin Quarter and offers 16 spacious apartments and all the rooms are equipped with basic comforts. The good thing about the location of the hotel is that you can anytime decide to go for a stroll. In fact in less than 5 minutes you can get to the Mouffetard Street where you will find the famous food markets, shops, cafes and restaurants. A 10 minute further walk will take you to Jardin Des Plantes and the Pantheon.

Likewise 4 star hotels are aplenty in the Latin Quarter- You can have a comfortable stay at the Louvre Saint Honore Hotel, which is located right beside the Jardin des Tuileries. Also, from the hotel you can take a 25 minutes walk to visit the major landmarks in Paris- Louvre Museum, the Palais Royal, Musée d`Orsay and Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Hotel Le Saint- Gregoire offers 20 rooms with fine architecture to please its guests and lies 10 minutes away from St. Germain-Des-Pres and Jardin du Luxembourg. Other attractions like Notre Dame, Place de la Concorde, Champs-Elysées, Louvre, Musée d''Orsay, Eiffel Tower and Garnier Opera are just a metro away.

Apart from its Bastille Prison, the trendy area is well known for its beautiful art galleries, shops, resonable accomodation, theaters and funky jazz clubs. The Bastille offers reasonably priced hotels- Le Marceau Hotel, Hotel Baudelaire Bastille and the Lyon Bastille. From restaurants to discs, bars and junc shops- all lie very close to the hotel at a walk able distance.

For students hostels are the best way to save up in your hard earned pocket money. Some of the more known ones are Vintage Hostel, Plug-In Hostel and Village Hostel. They are comfortable and centrally located and are a very lucrative option as you’ll have more money for shopping in the Fashion Capital of the World!
