Festivals and Events in Berlin

There is always reason to celebrate in Berlin. There are plenty of great festivals to look forward to throughout the year.

Some of them are the Long Night of the Museum or Lange Nacht der Museen which takes place in January and late August, over a hundred museums are open to tourists all through the night. The Berlin International Film Festival in February, Carnival of Cultures (Karneval der Kulturen) in May, Street Music Festival (Fete de la Musique) in June and the Berlin Beer Festival in August are just some of the other popular festivals here. However, the Oktoberfest is probably one of the best known all over the world. Though it is a much smaller event than the one that takes place in Munich it attracts over 200,000 people and a wide variety of beers from all over Germany and Europe.
