Abhaya Anjaneya Temple

History

Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the Sri Abhaya Anjaneya Temple was constructed in the year 1998. Looked after by a trust, the temple has glittering marble floor and walls have intricately carvings of deities.

There are several magnificent sculptures of gods and goddesses that adorn the borders of the temple complex.

Tuesdays witness a constant stream of devotees entering the temple, having made the journey from far off places. The main pooja consists of the offering of vadamala to the deity, with the pooja done without discrimination on the basis of caste, as is the case in several hindu places of worship.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit is between the months of October and March.

Trivia

Although the structure is made of built in cement, the temple appears to be wooden.

Timing

The temple is open everyday from 5:30 am to 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
