Religion in Delhi

Delhi has a cosmopolitan culture. People from different cultural backgrounds and religions reside in Delhi. Major religions of Delhi include Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism, Christianity and Jainism.

Though you will find Hindus all over the city, however Muslims are concentrated in the Old Delhi Area. A good number of people follow Sikhism as well. Apart from these religions, there are few people who follow Zoroastrianism, Baha'i Faith and Judaism.

Visit Chandni Chowk, one of the oldest historic streets of Delhi, where you will find Gauri Shankar temple, Gurudwara Sisganj, Baptist Church, Fatehpuri Masjid and a Jain temple, all within two kilometres stretch of the street. The street presents the diversity of the place.
