Adventure enthusiasts will have a field day in the state as outdoor activities in Gujarat includes rock climbing, trekking, and water activities among others.

Rock Climbing

Pawagadh, Junagadh, and Taranga are the perfect areas for mountaineers. The climb is difficult and challenging and travellers need to be both physically and mentally fit for this activity. Make sure you hire a trained guide who can guide you with the directions. Carry drinking water, sun tan lotion, cap, some snacks to munch, and your camera.


Another outdoor activity in Gujarat that one can opt for is trekking. Among the good trekking routes in Gujarat is- Saputara to Ahwa. Trek through the wild green forests of Banni. Poshina- Abur is another hill trek which is ideal for beginners as well as seasoned trekkers. Dhrangadra is another area for rough and tough trekkers. You will have to carry your own necessary equipments for trekking or you can also arrange it from your tour operator. Make sure you are both physically and mentally fit to take up the challenge. Wear comfortable clothing along with a pair of comfortable sneakers.

Water Activities

Ahmed Mandvi Beach, Chorwad Beach, Nagoa Beach, Chakratirth Beach, Jalandhar Beach, Goghala Beach and Simmer Beach in Gujarat are the well known beaches for all kinds of water sports, mainly- surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, para-sailing, sailing, speed boating as well as riding water motor scooters. If you wish to experience all the water activities and you don’t know swimming then move in the water with a professionalised trainer and stay within the limits. You can hire the necessary equipments from the guides/trainers or can even arrange it from your tour operator.
