Driving Direction to Kasauli

Driving Direction from Chandigarh to Kasauli

Distance: 60 km
Driving Time: 2.00 hours

Start from Chandigarh from Madhya Marg and turn left after 9 kms onto National Highway (NH) 22.
Drive for some 11 kms and you will pass by Gurudwara Shri Manji Sahib, from here drive straight for 200 m and turn right onto Chandigarh - Kalka Road/NH 22, you will pass by HP petrol pump on this highway.
You may also halt near the petrol pump for some refreshments as there are small roadside dhabas where you can enjoy delicious paranthas and tea or coffee and also use the washroom as they are adequately neat and hygienic.
Drive straight for around 5 kms and take a sharp left onto MDR 6.
Drive on for 25 kms on MDR 6 and follow the sign boards to take a sharp right and then follow signboards till you spot a signboard for Kasauli.
  

Driving Direction from Delhi to Kasauli

Distance: 298 km
Driving Time: 6.00 hours

When driving from Delhi to Kasauli, take the GT Road to drive out of Delhi, and then head towards NH 1.
As you pass by Indian Oil Petrol Pump on NH 1, fill up your car tank for the journey ahead; you can also stop for food and refreshments at the Zhilmil Dhaba near Murthal and indulge in some of their specialties such as, stuffed tandoori paranthas and lassi.
If you wish to savour continental food, then the Oasis Resorts is a good option – both these places have clean washrooms.
Moving ahead on the road, the Punjabi Dhaba near Karnal is a good place to halt at.
For those who are in the mood for a small detour can stop at the Karni Lake, which is off the highway behind McDonalds, and serves as an ideal picnic spot with boating facilities too.
As you exit NH 1, keep a lookout for a sign board and take a slight left onto NH 22, near Ambala.
You can make a detour at Ambala to visit the Ambala airfield, where there is a memorial for the soldiers who lost their lives in war.
From here follow signboards to continue on NH 22, you will cross Chandigarh on your way.
If you have few hours at hand then you may stop here, and if not then continue along NH 22 to pass by Kalka which is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas.
Drive on the Chandigarh-Kalka Road/NH 22, till you cross HP Petrol Pump on your left; from here take a right turn at MDR 6 and continue to follow the road till you spot a signboard directing you towards your destination – Kasauli.
