Gulmarg Travel Guide

The hill station of Gulmarg, located in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir literally means “the meadows of flowers”. Some one has rightly said that if there is heaven on earth then it is in Kashmir and it aptly applies to Gulmarg. Its lovely landscapes, snow-clad peaks, lush green forests and its prime location and proximity to Srinagar, make it one of the best hill resorts in the country.

The main reason to come here, at least in winter, is the off-piste, deep-powder, long-run skiing, and snowboarding. Adventurers are known to throng the hill resort as soon as the snow falls. The slopes of Gulmarg make it Asia’s only heli-skiing resort. So travel to Gulmarg and experience the natural beauty of Gulmarg yourself.

One of the unrivaled tourist spots in the world, Gulmarg’s summer meadows and pastoral scenes seem like a fantasy you would want to get lost in.

Gulmarg also boasts of the highest golf course in the world.
