Driving Direction from Bengaluru (Bangalore) to Coorg

Start from Bangalore, take the Mysore Road and continue on SH 17 to reach Channapatna, which is known for its bright, lacquer paint coated wooden toys.
At Channapatna you will come across Kamath’s Restaurant, on your left hand side where you may halt to grab a quick bite.
You may also refuel your car tank from Channapatna.
Driving on Mysore road you will also come across Cafe Coffee Day and McDonalds.
If you are looking forward to eat south Indian food then restaurant Indradhanush on your way is a good option, all these places have clean washrooms.
Restart you journey and head onto SH 17 to reach the town of Mandya, through Maddur.
Mandya is 38 kms drive from Channapatna and you will again pass by a petrol pump on your left just before Mandya.
From Mandya, follow the sign boards to stay on SH 17 and drive for another 27 kms before you hit the heritage town Srirangapatna of Karnataka.
From Srirangapatna it is a straight drive on the SH 17 for another 19 kms before you reach Mysore.
Stop at Amarish Jungle Dhaba on the Mysore ring road in Mysore for some refreshments, and freshening up.
After a break restart your journey and head west towards JLB Road.
Follow the sign boards to get onto Hunsoor Road, drive for about a kilometer and you will spot a petrol pump on your left.
You may stop here for refueling you car tank if needed and get your car’s tires checked.
Continue further on Hunsoor Road, follow the signboards and switch on to the Mysore-Madikeri Road towards SH88.
Continue driving on SH88 till you reach Kushalnagar.
From here it is a straight drive of about 30 kms on the SH 88 before you spot a signboard to turn slight left onto SH 27.
Once on SH 27 it is a drive of just 3 kms and you will reach Coorg.
