Driving Direction from Bengaluru (Bangalore) to Mysore

Distance: 149 km
Driving Time: 3.00 hours

From Bangalore head onto the Mysore Road and get onto SH 17 to reach Channapatna, which is known for its bright, lacquer paint coated wooden toys.
Near Channapatna, you will come across Kamath’s Restaurant, on your left hand side where you may halt to grab a quick bite and a petrol pump on your left where you may refuel you car tank if need be.
Driving on Mysore road you will also come across Cafe Coffee Day and McDonalds.
In case you are looking forward to eat south Indian food the Indradhanush restaurant on your way is a good option.
Restart your journey and head onto SH 17 to reach the town of Mandya, through Maddur which is 38 kms drive from Channapatna.
You will pass by a petrol pump on your left just before Mandya, halt here to refuel your car tank if needed.
From Mandya, follow the sign boards to stay on SH 17, drive for approximately 46 kms and you will reach your destination - Mysore.

Driving Direction from Chennai to Mysore

Distance: 476 km
Driving Time: 10.00 hours

From Chennai head towards Dr.
Guruswamy Bridge and continue driving till you reach Periyar EVR Salai/NH 4.
Take a right turn and then second left to get onto the Chennai Bypass Road.
Cross the Bypass Toll Plaza and take a left for SH 113.
Keep driving on this highway to get back onto NH 4.
You will come across Bharat Petroleum outlet on the left, stop by for clean toilets and a quick refuel here.
Restart you journey and look for sign boards to take a slight left on NH 46.
Continue on the same road, till you pass by another petrol pump, which will come around after 70 kms.
From here, you need to take left onto Hosur Road.
Continue on Hosur Road for a few kilometers and take a right turn towards NH 7.
Keep going further on this road and follow the direction boards to take a left onto Denkanikotta Main Rd.
As you pass by Central Excise, take right for Thali Road.
Make sure to look up for sign boards and a few left and right turn will take you to NH 209.
Drive on NH 209 and take a slight right onto SH 33.
Here you will find few roadside dhabad on your way halt here to grab a quite bite or to use washrooms.
Continue on SH 33 and you pass by a petrol bunk on your right, turn left towards SH 7.
Take the third exit from the roundabout that lies just ahead.
Pass BPCL petrol bunk on the right and follow the sign boards to reach Mysore which will be just a few kilometers ahead.
