Hawa Beach

History

The Hawa Beach, also known popularly as the Eve’s beach, is the most popular of the three beaches of the coastal town of Kovalam in Kerala, with the other two being the Lighthouse beach and the Samudra beach. The beach gained prominence during the hippy era, and still witnesses a generous flow of foreign visitors.

Located opposite to Lighthouse beach, the Hawa Beach is covered with palm groves, and provides an ideal spot for tourists to sun bathe and herbal massages, something that Kovalam is becoming renowned for. The beach though is not ideal for swimming, as the currents here are quite strong.

Hawa Beach is a must visit for anyone planning to visit the town of Kovalam.
