Driving Direction from Delhi to Orchha

Distance: 441 km
Driving Time: 10.00 hours

When driving from Delhi to Orchha, start early to beat the traffic within the city as the journey will take you up to 10 hours.
To move out of Delhi, take the road towards the Noida/Greater Noida Expressway and get onto the newly inaugurated Yamuna Expressway.
Drive for about 154 km on this stretch, and then take a right to get on to NH 93.
After driving for 11 km, take another right turn to merge into NH 2.
As you arrive at Agra, stop for a small tea & snacks break – don’t forget to pick up the popular petha or a miniature replica of the Taj in marble.
If time permits, visit the idyllic Keetham Lake, just outside Agra on the Agra-Delhi highway/NH2.
After this small break, get onto Pandit Kali Charan Tiwari Road and continue driving before you turn left onto NH11/NH2 and then take the second right to stay on NH 11.
Next, follow the sign boards to get onto NH 3, where you will cross the Yamuna Park and after that take a right turn to stay on NH 3.
As you approach Morena, known for its Chambal Ghadiyaals (alligators), there is a Devi Morena Ghadiyaal Kendra, where you can spot some of these indigenous alligators.
Keep to the left to continue on NH 3 and you will pass by a petrol pump – tank up your car here if need be.
Moving ahead, follow the sign boards and keep a lookout for a signboard directing you towards NH 75, and from there continue onto the Gwalior Road.
As you arrive at Gwalior, you may halt for some refreshments at any of the popular restaurants like Kwality Restaurant, Swad Restaurant for typical Indian cuisines, and Silver Saloon for Nepalese food, to name a few.
If time permits, then you may visit the Gwalior Fort as well.
Hit the road again and from Gwalior Road head towards NH75/NH76.
Next, take a right turn onto NH 12A and after 6 km, again turn right on NH 12A to arrive at your destination – Orchha.
