Driving Direction to Nainital

Driving Direction from Chandigarh to Nainital

Distance: 432 km
Driving Time: 9.00 hours

From Chandigarh take the road via Dakshin Marg to get on to NH 21, keep driving for 5 kms before you take a right towards NH 22.
Once on NH 22 you will cross Zirakpur on the way, stop here for some refreshments and for a meal at McDonald’s, if needed.
Restart and take a turn on the first left to stay on NH 22, you will cross Axis Bank towards the right in 5 kms.
Turn a slight left after another 5 km on this road and you will cross Dera Bassi to get onto the NH 73.
Drive on for about 10 kms on NH 73 and make sure to follow the sign boards to take SH 1.
Drive on for about 10 kms on SH 1 till you reach Raipur Rani, from here drive on for about 40 kms to reach a HP petrol pump, halt here to get your car tank refuelled for the long journey ahead.
Keep driving on SH 1 for 30 kms and then take a right from the Chowk Bazar to get onto NH 73A, you will pass through Jagadhari where you can stop at the Mahesh Dhaba that is on the main road and is a decent option if you want to halt for a meal.
Get back onto the road again and turn left at Matka Chowk to stay on NH 73 A, once on this highway follow the signboards till you get onto the main NH 73 highway.
On NH 73 drive on for another 10 kms till you cross the Sagar Ratna restaurant, halt here for the delicious South Indian food is highly recommended.
Restart and go straight for the next 7 kms where you will have to take a left turn to stay on this highway, you will pass through Saharanpur.
Drive on for another 10 kms and take a slight right at the fork, and then the first left to stay on NH 73, you will pass by a petrol pump on your left about 15 kms ahead.
Keep looking up for the sign boards and take a left to get onto NH 58, you will pass by a church on your left.
Take a right after another 16 kms to stay on NH 58, you will come across Kisan Dhaba on the highway, where you can halt for snacks.
Getting back to the road, take the slight turn towards the right after about 6 kms to stay on NH 58, once on NH 58 it is a drive of another 7 kms you will be entering the Haridwar roundabout.
At the roundabout follow signboards to go towards NH 74 and once on this highway drive on for about 46 kms before you reach a petrol pump.
Drive on and take a first left to get onto the Najibabad-Bundaki-Nagina Road, drive for about 19 kms before you take a sharp left to get onto the Badhapur Road.
From here follow the road as you go towards the Dhampur bypass and drive on for about 10 kms on Dhampur before turning left to get onto NH 74.
It is a drive of another 35 kms before you take the right turn towards NH 121 and after a drive of another 2 km on this road take a right turn towards NH 74.
On this route it is a drive of another 8 kms before you reach a petrol pump.
If need be tank up your car here for the onward journey and hit the road again as you drive for another 14 kms before you take a left turn at MDR 49W.
Drive on for another 55 kms on MDR 49W and you will reach Nainital.
  

Driving Direction from Delhi to Nainital

Distance: 276 km
Driving Time: 9.00 hours

The best route to drive on from Delhi to Nainital is NH 24.
Head out of Delhi by taking the Noida Link Road and continue towards NH 24 (Hapur Road); fuel up your car from the petrol pump on NH 24 and drive on for 40 km.
Just before Hapur, take the Hapur Bypass and drive on for next 14 km.
Stop for a wholesome meal and to freshen up at the Bhajan Dhaba in Garmukhteshwar – do try the lip-smacking aloo paranthas here! You may also take a small detour to Garmukhteshwar Temple and Brij Ghat.
Continue on NH 24 followed by Ganga Bridge, soon you will pass by BP petrol pump on your left – in case you are running low on fuel, you can stop here for tanking up your vehicle.
Keep driving and as you approach Moradabad city, you will soon start spotting some eateries and restaurants along NH 24, such as Lovena restaurant, Temptation restaurant and many more.
From Moradabad, take a slight left to get onto MDR 65W, where you will find some really good and hygienic eating spots.
If you wish to eat some freshly prepared mouth-watering breakfast, then you must stop by Guptaji Rotiwale, and do not forget to savour the Dal Makhani served here.
Continue driving on this stretch for 100 km and then take a sharp left towards the Mall road, which ascends all the way up to Nainital with sharp turns at hairpin bends, so drive slowly.
Mall Road is the entry to Nainital, and is full of eateries and food stalls.
Drive on the road for about 4 km till you arrive at your destination – Nainital.
