What to Pack
Almost everything you’re likely to need- toiletries, batteries/ cells, camera film, medicines and more- are easily available in Riga, so you needn’t stock up extensively before you leave home. But keep in mind the fact, that most of the brands commonly available in the rest of Europe may not be available in Latvia. In the matter of clothes, in the summers with temperatures between 14 and 22°C, light cool and comfortable clothes will be in order. But bring along an umbrella or raincoat if you’re visiting during the summer- there is plenty of rain during July and August, and slightly less during the rest of the season. Winters can be pretty chilly, so go well clad and pack in an all weather jacket/coat.
