Dubai Travel Guide

Lying on the calm blue waters of the Gulf, Dubai is perhaps the most frequented destination in the UAE. From the timeless tranquillity of the desert to the lively bustle of the souk, Dubai offers a kaleidoscope of attractions for the visitor. The city of Dubai has something for everyone - for holidaymakers seeking a break from crowds to shopaholics yearning for a binge at the Annual Dubai Shopping Festival. An ultra modern city, Dubai is both a dynamic international business centre and a laid back tourist escape. One of it's greatest visitor attractions is duty free shopping – whatever you want, from couture to coffee pots, you will find it here!

Dubai and Deira are the two parts of the city. Dubai houses the local government, banks, old-fashioned souks, the zoo, and the popular Al-Jumeirah Coast Park. Deira is the city centre and possesses both the traditional and the modern shopping complexes, nightclubs and hotels.

Amazingly, you will never come across any street that has any address in Dubai.

Soon the Burj Dubai will be the tallest man made structures in the world. No other building in the world stands as tall as the Burj Dubai.
