| | Eating Out in Alaska |
|
Most towns have good bars and restaurants with most of them offering Alaska’s famous salmon. In certain towns like Fairbanks, cheap food is hard to find. Restaurants in Sitka serve up Russian fare.
Nightlife in Alaska is restricted to the larger towns. There are plenty of lively bars and pubs, where you can quaff down a drink or two and listen to live music. In Fairbanks, nightlife can be quite disconcerting: you can walk out bleary-eyed from a bar in the middle of the night to face bright sunshine!
