Atlanta Travel Guide

Immortalised in Margaret Mitchell's Gone with the Wind, Atlanta is one of the fastest-growing American cities. The capital city of the state of Georgia, Atlanta is home to corporate giants like Coca-Cola and CNN and has had the honour of hosting the 1996 Olympic games. Atlanta is a city of interesting contrasts -- despite being so deeply associated with the South; it is today, one of the few American cities to have a strong black-backed administration (the first black mayor in USA, Maynard Jackson, was elected here in 1974.) It is also the city where Dr. Martin Luther King was born and preached and is today buried.

You will be spoilt for choice in Atlanta, especially if you have just a few days at hand. Museums replete with history, getting up close and personal with whales at the Georgia Aquarium, sampling the several Coco Cola products, a visit to CNN headquarters or literally going underground to shop to your heart’s content! Atlanta’s offerings are as varied and we promise you will never be at a loss for things to do!

Bet you didn't know there are over a hundred streets and drives named Peachtree. So, if you don't want to get lost and land up at the wrong Peachtree, be sure you get the address right!
