Dallas Travel Guide

Thanks to the Dallas TV show, Dallas city has become a household name, epitomising the ultimate in glitz and glamour. However, Dallas has an unhappy legacy - it is where President John F Kennedy was assassinated in 1963. A major business center, Dallas is spread over a large area and incorporates some of the most striking skyscrapers in the country. In reality, swimming pools and verdant golf courses make it the glitzy city it is – the cowboy and oilmen take a back seat to the fine museums and music halls and one would have to look really hard to witness a gunfight or cattle drive!

This bustling metropolis presents a very smug, sophisticated façade and takes pride in showing off old wealth, but delve a little and you will find that the people haven’t yet totally lost their sense of fun and can really go wild in the bars and clubs of Deep Ellum.

Who hasn't heard of the 7 Eleven convenience stores that have a presence all over the world today? Well the 7 Eleven chain has it's origins in Dallas and was started here in 1927!
