Best Time to Visit Las Vegas

World’s gambling capital Las Vegas encapsulating largest casino-hotels and enormous human fantasies is a year round destination.

Situated in a desert Las Vegas has extremely hot summer months running from June to September with temperatures ranging from 67 to 103 degrees Fahrenheit. The winter season (November-February) is cold with temperatures dipping down to minimum 33 degrees Fahrenheit also. The temperatures in spring and fall (March-May and October) remain moderate with occasional rainy days and low humidity. Since the major part of Vegas entertainment is indoors, the temperatures and weather condition is generally of minor concern.

The best time to visit Las Vegas depends on what you value the most.

If you want to avoid high prices on accommodation, services and wish for less holiday-crowd then visit during the summers or late-winters i.e. February (as the month of November showcases world’s largest computer show COMDEX and the second half of December is packed due to Christmas, National Final’s Rodeo and New Year’s Eve). You may also visit the city in first half of December for lower rates. Also be aware of the difference in rates between weekdays and weekends as the accommodation and food prices over weekdays are comparatively cheaper and most of the hotels do not accept arrivals on Fridays and Saturdays.

If you don’t mind high hotel and food prices and are keen on enjoying city’s pleasant weather with jam-packed glamorous crowds, then visit during spring and fall months. Advance reservations in hotels and restaurant become mandatory around this time.

Las Vegas city is full of events and festivals throughout the year, there is always something happening in Vegas. Some of the renowned events and festivals are ‘High Roller Super Bowl,’ famous for its most lavish free buffets and prizes in January; ‘The Great Crafts Festival,’ in February. The Las Vegas Bellydance Intensive and Festival and Blue Sky International Film Festival in September. The Motor Trend International Auto Show during November and the very famous National Finals Rodeo in the month of December .
