Drive through the impressive mountains of the West Highlands, passing by the ruins of the romantic Kilchurn Castle before arriving in the bustling town of Oban. Overnight in Oban.

Day 2: Oban
An island adventure awaits you as you explore the dramatic coastlines and wild beauty of Mull before taking the small ferry to the peace and ranquillity of Iona, birthplace of Celtic Christianity and ancient burial ground of Scottish Kings. You can visit the historic abbey or explore the rocky headlands and sandy coves of this island gem. You also have an opportunity to take a small boat out to the island of Staffa and view the dramatic basalt columns. Return on the ferry to Oban. Overnight in Oban.

Day 3: Oban - Portree
Today, your scenic journey takes you north along the west coast to Fort William and through the dramatic mountain scenery of the Five Sisters of Kintail. Stop to visit the famous Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland's most photographed castles. Cross over the bridge to Skye, towards the island's capital, Portree. Overnight in Portree.

Day 4: Portree
The day is at leisure to explore Skye on your own. Travel north to the stunning Quiraing Mountain Pass, visit Kilt Rock or a walk out at the most westerly point on the island at Neist. The evening is at leisure. Overnight in Portree.

Day 5: Portree – Edinburgh
