Day 1: Buenos Aires
Welcome to your 'Cox and Kings Essence of South America' tour! On arrival into Buenos Aires, your Cox and Kings representative greets you at the 'meeting point' at the exit after immigration and customs and transfers you comfortably to your hotel (check in after 1400 hrs). Overnight in Buenos Aires. Dinner in an Indian Restaurant.

Day 2: Buenos Aires
Discover all the magic of Argentina's capital city on a City Tour, beginning with Recoleta, known for its renowned Recoleta Cemetery (where Eva Peron is interred), elegant shops and open-air cafes. Proceed onto Teatro Colón, a beautiful opera house and view the Obelisco de Buenos Aires, a 1936 monument to honor the foundation of the city. Head to Plaza de Mayo, the political hub of Buenos Aires, where you have the opportunity to take photos of the palatial building, famous for its pink exterior. Admire more sights in the area, including the Metropolitan Cathedral and the Cabildo (town hall). Drive through the waterfront district of Puerto Madero on your way to the neighborhood of San Telmo, one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. See its many attractions, including Dorrego Square, known for its spontaneous tango performances. Continue to La Boca, the most colorful neighborhood with an European atmosphere. Evening, enjoy the La Ventana Tango Dinner Show, a Buenos Aires classic. La Ventana's authentic interior preserves the purest aspects of the building making it the ideal setting for a unique tango experience reminiscent of days gone by. Enjoy music, song and dance to the tune of artists on scene, tango orchestras, a folk ensemble, and a menu serving traditional and international dishes. Overnight in Buenos Aires. Breakfast at the hotel and La Ventana Tango Dinner Show.

Day 3: Buenos Aires - Lima
Today, drive to the airport for your flight to Lima. On arrival, transfer to the hotel (check in after 1400 hrs). This afternoon, proceed on a guided orientation tour including a visit the Miraflores area, the downtown scene that boasts a view of the Pacific Ocean. Head over to the residential district of San Isidro and have a look "Huaca Pucllana" and "Huaca Huallamarca", two famous ceremonial centers built before the Spaniards arrived. Drive to the main square and enjoy a view of the Presidential and Municipal Palaces, two immense buildings whose grandeur is sure to capture your fascination. Proceed to Monasterio San Francisco, home to the large underground catacombs said to connect the monastery with nearby churches. See the Museum of Religious Art, the Historical Center and the Central Post Office. Overnight in Lima. Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner in an Indian Restaurant.

Day 4: Lima - Cusco
Early in the morning, transfer to the airport for flight to Cusco. On arrival at the ancient capital of the Incas, transfer to the hotel. Brief orientation and a cup of traditional coca tea to assist in the acclimation to the 11300 ft. in the Inca Capital of Cusco. Cusco is perhaps the most fascinating city in the western hemisphere. As the capital of the Inca Empire - the largest empire in the Americas prior to that of the Spanish - Cusco was hugely important as a political, religious and spiritual center, to the extent that the Inca's referred to it as the "Home of Gods". Be fascinated on an orientation tour of Cusco's surrounding archeological sites, including visit to the famous Sacsayhuaman, where the Incas' construction of tightly placed stones created an incredible series of walls. Visit Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay, the Temple of the Sun (also known as Qoricancha), Cusco's Plaza de Armas and Cusco Cathedral, to see its stunning architecture. Overnight in Cusco Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner in an Indian Restaurant.

Day 5: Cusco
This morning, board the Vista dome class train to the breathtaking Machu Picchu. The Train journey passes through picturesque Andean scenery, traditional villages, Inca ruins and rushing rivers. Descend 1300 meters through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and follow the Urubamba river until the final stop at Aguas Calientes. Board a small bus and head up to the ruins of the "sacred city", Machu Picchu. The famous lost city of the Inca is one of the most magical and mysterious places on Earth! Stand 2,430m above sea‐level in the middle of a tropical mountain forest. In an extraordinarily beautiful setting, it was probably most amazing urban creation of the Inca Empire at its height, its giant walls, terraces and ramps seem as if they have been cut naturally in the continuous rock escarpments. The natural setting on the eastern slopes of the Andes, encompasses the upper Amazon basin with its rich diversity of flora and fauna, the site is frequently shrouded in misty clouds pierced by the powerful equatorial Sun. Overnight in Cusco Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner in an Indian Restaurant.

Day 6: Cusco - Lima - Iguasu
Today, transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguasu. On arrival, transfer to the hotel (check in after 1400 hrs). The evening is free to enjoy the various sights of this beautiful city on your own. Overnight in Iguasu. Breakfast and Dinner at the hotel.

Day 7: Iguasu
Today, a memorable experience awaits as you explore this natural wonder of the world, the Iguassu Falls, with more than 270 falls in an area where cliffs and islets lie scattered in a half moon shape. View the Devil's Throat, indescribable for its beauty and energy; it presents an overwhelming combination of sounds and surroundings. Drive through the lush, subtropical vegetation of the park and stroll the trail descending the canyon that offers a panoramic view. This evening, travel on a magical experience of music, folklore and dance at Rafain Dinner Show. On this musical tour through Latin America, see the folk dances and national costumes of Paraguay and listen to the sweet sound of the charango, the flute and the panpipes, typical instruments of the Andes. Dance to the beat of the Argentine tango, the Mexican danzon and the dances of Brazil, the samba and xaxado. Be completely mesmerized by the Capoeira performance and the fabulous special effects of this fascinating show. Overnight in Iguasu. Breakfast at the hotel and Rafain Dinner Show.

Day 8: Iguasu - Rio de Janeiro
Today, transfer to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. On arrival, transfer to the hotel (check in after 1400 hrs). This afternoon, proceed on a panoramic city tour of downtown Rio and pass by the infamous Sambadrome, the exhibition area for the renowned Samba schools in Rio. A brief stop is made at the Metropolitan Cathedral, made famous for its unusual pyramid shape. Visit the traditional Cinelandia Square and tour the various historic buildings like the Municipal Theatre, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. Head towards the Urca neighborhood, where one of Rio's most iconic symbols is located, Sugar Loaf Mountain. Overnight in Rio De Janeiro. (Breakfast and Dinner at the hotel).

Day 9: Rio de Janeiro
Today, take a tour to Corcovado Mountain topped with the iconic statue of Christ the Redeemer. Travel through the Tijuca Rain Forest by cog train to Corcovado Mountain for breathtaking views of one of the world's most beautiful cities. Come evening, enjoy a spectacular samba show with singers and dancers in elaborate costumes. Guests are surrounded by the contagious rhythms of the percussion instruments unique to Brazil. The show, featuring lavishly and colorfully costumed dancers and musicians, presents the richness of Brazil's musical and cultural heritage. The grand finale displays some of the dazzling costumes used in the Carnival parade. Overnight in Rio De Janeiro. Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner at Estrela do Sul International Restaurant.

Day 10: Rio de Janeiro - Sao Paulo
Today, transfer to the airport for your flight to Sao Paulo. On arrival, transfer to the hotel (check in after 1400 hrs). Proceed on a City Tour starting with a visit to the famous Bairro Oriental with its Japanese decoration, cathedral, and the monument "The Immortal Glory of the founders of the city". Drive to Higienopolis, the heart and soul of the modern Jewish community and where the rich families used to live during the Old Republic era. Next, visit the financial center of South America, the Avenida Paulista and the Instituto Butanta, snake poison research centre and a photo stop at Morumbi, the Governor's Palace, and the Parque Do Ibirapuera. Overnight in Sao Paulo. Breakfast at the hotel and Dinner in an Indian Restauran
Day 11: Depart Sao Paulo

Cost of additional sector tickets for further internal travel within South America. It is compulsory to purchase these tickets through Cox and Kings only at extra cost plus service charges. The tickets must be issued prior to travel from India
Porterage at hotels, airports and seaports, laundry, wines, mineral water, telephone charges, insurance and all items of personal nature, also food and drinks not forming part of the group menus

Itinerary is subject to change or alteration before or during the tour without notice due to feasability of operation
A part of your tour price will be taken in USD from your BTQ as per the RBI / GOI regulations
The package cost is quoted based on current exchange rate and any fluctuations would change the package cost accordingly
Once an air ticket is issued, date change penalty & rerouting charges (as applicable) will be charged
A baggage handling fee of US$ 35 for the 2nd bag will be charged per check-in by the operating airline
Due to space restrictions in the coach, you are permitted to carry only one main bag (preferably strolley) & one hand bag on your tour
A deviation charge of INR 2500 per person, in addition to the applicable difference between the group airfare within the package holiday tour cost and the market airfare for the changed sector/ date, will be applicable
Additional internal tickets will cost extra. It is compulsory to purchase the same through Cox and Kings. Check with our Sales Officer for applicable charges at the time of booking
